Catalytic processing of mixed polymer waste - London

Event details
Tuesday, 25 February 2020
10:00 am – 17:00 pm
Overview
This event will be an opportunity to focus on how catalytic approaches can be utilised for the hydrocracking and/or pyrolysis of mixed waste polymers.

A small focused workshop will be held in London on 25th February 2020 with the aim of exploring catalytic opportunities in the processing of mixed polymer waste. This event will be an opportunity to focus on how catalytic approaches can be utilised for the hydrocracking and (or) pyrolysis of mixed waste polymers. We will be bringing together people from across the value chain and those in the catalysis community to develop ideas for innovative approaches utilising catalysis for waste polymers.

As part of the day we will focus on current funding opportunities and further develop project ideas by utilising the KTN’s Innovation Canvas.

Start and finish times (full agenda TBC)

Registration at 10:00 for a 10:30 start

Meeting will close at 16:30

After introductions and scene setting presentations the day will continue with each delegate being asked to provide a short 5 minute presentation introducing their organisation and challenges and (or) opportunities that they wish to discuss. This will be followed by an open brainstorming session with members of the catalysis community to generate ideas for research and innovation development. The day will also include a focus on current funding opportunities for the translation of innovation from late stage research to commercialisation and a hands-on session where delegates will be taken through the KTN’s Innovation Canvas which is a tool that aims to identify and mitigate risks with a project and create a more focused approach to funding applications.
