Overview
This webinar is an opportunity to find out more about the Driving the Electric Revolution’s third funding competition.

Up to £5 million available for the Driving the Electric Revolution’s third funding competition that will launch on 15th June 2020, with a closing at noon 29th July 2020*.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have consulted with stakeholders and revised the format of the competition as a result.

The aim of this competition is to facilitate UK supply chain and manufacturing capability growth in power electronics, machines and drives to enable future improvements in productivity, capacity, quality or efficiency. Activities around circular economy and recycling are also in scope.

We shall be looking to fund short, high impact, collaborative research and development projects that can demonstrate a clear return on investment. Projects can be up to 9 months in duration and up to £500,000 in total project costs. Total funding available for this competition will be up to £5million.

This is not for projects that will carry out proof of concept or feasibility studies and we will not fund product development.

The competition will only be open for a short window, opening on 15th June 2020 and closing noon, 29th July 2020*. The official brief will not be published online until the end of May.

Please join us next Thursday 21st May to Engage with the Driving the Electric Revolution team, where the challenge team members from both Innovate UK and KTN will give you a sneak preview of the expected competition scope and eligibility criteria* and understand what mechanisms are available to you to build your project and write your proposal.

*All Dates and content subject to change up to and including the publishing of the official competition brief.
