Expression of Interest: The Internet of Agri Things Workshop
With increasing pressures on agricultural production, from decreasing availability of manual labour, to the need to reduce impact on the environment and optimise the outputs derived from limited resources, there is a greater than ever need for innovation in this sector, either from totally new technologies or applying existing technologies from other sectors.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a broad-brush term which encompasses a wide range technologies connected and communicating with each other, usually aligned to suites of sensors, analytics and communication platform to communicate.
With this in mind, KTN is organising this workshop that will feature a range of speakers from the Agri-Food and IoT industries, presenting examples of ongoing projects and successful approaches. This workshop will provide an opportunity for both communities to learn about the needs and capabilities, both now and in the near-future, of the other in order to stimulate ideas to address the needs of the arable, horticultural and livestock industries, as well as the food processing and manufacturing sector. This event will bring together experts to discuss industry needs, technological gaps, and key enabling technologies.
Please note, to ensure an appropriate mix of delegates from different sectors, and across industry and academia, we are operating a ‘registration of interest’ system. If you would like to attend this event, please complete the registration form and we will confirm allocation of places in due course (latest 3 weeks before the event). Please do not book travel before we have confirmed your place.
The organisers reserve the right to limit the number of registrations per organisation.
