Overview
A workshop around local innovation funding opportunities.

The GCGP LEP and the Smart Specialisation Hub invite you to an Innovation Funding workshop to meet potential partners and discuss and further develop your proposal ideas with the aim of submission into one of the open calls. A DCLG representative from the 2 Seas Programme will also be present to talk about Interreg funding.

Innovation is a major driver of the UK economy and significant funding is available for investment in innovation from the European Regional Development Fund. This includes the national ERDF programme for England as well as a number of Interreg programmes supporting transnational and cross-border cooperation.
The Innovation themes we will focus on are:

  • Enhancing research and innovation infrastructure
  • Promoting business investment in research and innovation
  • Framework conditions for innovation
  • Technological innovation
  • Social Innovation
  • Low Carbon Technology
  • Circular economy and resource efficiency

This event is open to potential applicants from the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough (GCGP), New Anglia, Hertfordshire and South East LEP areas. If you are interested in any of the above themes, need help with partnership building or want to discuss your project idea, please register now (spaces are limited).
