Materials for Composites Special Interest Group

Composite materials offer a number of benefits – they are lighter, stronger, more durable and offer added functionality. They have the ability improve a product’s performance and lifespan and there are energy efficiency benefits associated with a lighter material. Applications are widespread in aviation, aerospace, automotive, defence, oil and gas, rail and construction industries to name a few.

This SIG aims to facilitate collaboration between the composites industry and the chemicals industry to work more closely with end users in order to create novel and cost effective products and stimulate productivity and innovation.
