This Access to Finance event part of a new programme that Ambition Broxbourne, the economic Development arm of the council, is delivering to support the businesses within Hertfordshire.
Simon Yarwood, KTM for ICT in the Enabling Technologies team, will talk about the support KTN offers to businesses and about the various funding streams that Innovate UK offers, as the UK Governments innovation funding agency.

Hertfordshire Growth Hub
The Growth Hub is delivered, on behalf of Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), by a consortium led by business support services provider Exemplas with the University of Hertfordshire and Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce. Hertfordshire LEP receives funding directly from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), augmented by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and other funding as bidding opportunities arise to deliver the service. The Growth Hub guides businesses through a journey of support to help them progress. The service blends digital and physical support through a team of expert Growth Account Managers, and a soon to be launched digital business support platform. The platform will offer a range of tools and resources, which include an extensive Knowledge Bank, a wide-ranging directory of partners and supplier on their Marketplace and a busy calendar of events across the county.
Manufacturing Growth Programme  
Amanda Freeland from the Manufacturing Growth Programme will cover the new funding available to Hertfordshire firms and how the grant can be used. Amanda has been involved in leading and delivering business support in Hertfordshire for 25 years, and knows how hard it can be for SME owners to find out about grants and other forms of support to grow their businesses. She’ll explain how to access support and grants in Broxbourne to part-fund expert advice, help with new product development, or pay for effective marketing to reach more clients.
Gov Grant
GovGrant will discuss the valuable innovation funding schemes your business is entitled too and the routes to them. If you invest in developing new products, process or services or enhancing existing ones you could be eligible for R&D tax relief or the valuable patent box scheme.
