Enter the Tesco Agri T-Jam for a chance to get an introduction to Tesco’s supply chain partners and mentoring from their Agricultural Team.

Tesco and its supply chain partners are seeking innovative, breakthrough technologies and solutions to improve its supply chain and help provide affordable, sustainable and healthy food for its customers.

Early stage agri-tech innovators and entrepreneurs get the chance to compete for exclusive fast-track introduction to Tesco’s supply chain partners and mentoring from their Agricultural Team.

Partnering with the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit‘s Pitch Day, early-stage agri-tech startups and entrepreneurs are invited to apply before August 17 for the chance to present their technology solutions to the Tesco panel and a selected audience of agribusiness leaders and investors on October 15th.

Areas of interest
Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Sustainable feed
  • Reduction of farm level emissions
  • Responsible use of antibiotics
  • Meat grading and quality
  • On farm sensor technology and remote sensing
  • Sustainable crop protection
  • Soil health
  • Water management
  • Automation and robotics
  • Waste reduction

The prize
Ten companies will be invited to present at the Agri T-Jam in front of the Tesco panel of judges and a group of investors, corporate partners and agribusiness experts at the World Agri-Tech Pitch Day on 15th October 2018 in London. From these, one will be chosen for a fast-track introduction to Tesco’s supply chain partners and also receive mentoring from Tesco’s Agricultural team.

The winning company will also present in front of the entire audience at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on 16th October as part of the acclaimed Technology Showcase. All ten finalists will be invited to attend the two-day summit to network with agribusiness leaders and gain insights from the comprehensive agenda.

The competition is open to all international agri-tech entrepreneurs and start-ups, including early concept solutions ready for development and testing. Solutions are also invited from entrepreneurs outside the industry whose ideas could be adapted to the agri-food sector.
