SynbiTECH 2019 is a not to be missed international conference for anyone engaged in synthetic biology investment, commercialisation, policymaking and research. Taking place on 24th-25th June 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, this event will focus on the key opportunities and challenges for building a multibillion-dollar synthetic biology industry that will contribute to the fast-growing bioeconomy.

Founded by SynbiCITE, the UK’s National Industrial Translation Centre for Synthetic Biology, SynbiTECH 2019 will provide a forum to drive innovative thinking and international collaboration, to determine how science and engineering – leveraged by industry, finance and policy – can create a sustainable economy through synthetic biology/engineering biology.

SynbioTECH offers the perfect forum to hear inspirational talks from international thought leaders. The diverse line-up of headline speakers includes Dr Hermann Hauser (Amadeus Capital Partners), Claire Bergkamp (Stella McCartney), Lord David Willetts (Resolution Foundation), Dr Jason Kelly (Ginkgo BioWorks) and Prof Hagan Bayley (Oxford Nanopore Technologies), amongst others.

KTN‚Äôs Synthetic Biology Team will be taking part in the exhibition, giving delegates an opportunity to find out how KTN can facilitate partnering in the UK‚Äôs growing synthetic biology industry between industrial collaborators, research-base expertise and all relevant stakeholders, enabling cross-sector commercialisation. They will also be highlighting the KETBIO Biotech Transfer project, which aims to identify Europe’s most innovative results in biotechnology research – including synthetic biology – and help to speed up their market uptake.
