Industrial Energy Transformation Fund consultation published

BEIS has published this consultation following extensive engagement with industry and is now inviting stakeholders to comment

The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) has £315m to help businesses with high energy use to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions, helping them on the path to zero-emissions.

 

The consultation has been produced by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) following extensive engagement with industry. It sets out preferred design choices for the IETF and BEIS is now inviting stakeholders to comment.

The consultation period will run until Thursday 21 November. During this period, BEIS will be running six stakeholder engagement events across the UK.  The events will explain more about the consultation, the proposed design of the Fund and plans for its delivery over the next five years. It will be an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback to ensure the IETF’s final design supports UK industry, while meeting the government’s net-zero carbon emissions target in 2050.

 

The six events are taking place in the morning in:

  • London ‚Äì 22 October
  • Cardiff ‚Äì 24 October
  • Middlesbrough ‚Äì 30 October
  • Manchester ‚Äì 31 October
  • Glasgow ‚Äì 6 November
  • Belfast ‚Äì 7 November

 

The events will host up to 30 stakeholders and will be managed on a first come, first served basis. To book your place at one of the events, please send an email to IETF@beis.gov.uk

In the subject line of the email, please state ‘IETF consultation event – (location)’ and then, in the copy, explain how many places are being booked and list names.
