The event expects 3,000 visitors through the doors, including project managers, design engineers, buyers, materials scientists, senior executives. The whole sphere of modern materials innovation will be showcased, being relevant to such industries as space/aerospace, automotive, energy, renewables, medical, electronics, construction and defence. There will be a large range of materials on display at the conference, including nanomaterials, composites, polymers, ceramics, adhesives and sealants, coatings, foams, metals, textiles and thermoplastics.

The event will feature 200 exhibitors, with a multi-track conference dedicated to Graphene, 2D Materials and Nanomaterials, Surface Engineering & Advanced Coatings, Composites and Polymers. Both KTN and Innovate UK will be amongst the exhibitors. The first day’s Composites Track (Wednesday 10th July) will feature sessions on Lightweighting in Advanced Composites, Innovations in Composites and an opening plenary from leaders in Advanced Materials. Knowledge Transfer Network will also be running a session in the Composites Track of the first day of the conference, titled Sustainability in Plastics and Composites, alongside Bcomp. The Nanomaterials Track of the day 1 will include sessions on graphene, readying yourself to go from research to mass manufacture (led by Abalonyx, Fraunhofer IPA and Innovate UK), as well as a focus on nanoelectric materials.

The second day (Thursday 11th July) will see sessions on Processing and Manufacturing Nanomaterials at Commercial Scale, Nano Safety, Global Regulations and Standards for Nanomaterials, and Advanced Materials for Additive Manufacturing. In the Composites Track of Day 2 there will be a chance to learn about innovations in advanced coatings, digital manufacturing in coatings, as well as measurement and precision. Day 2 will also close with a special session from Innovate UK & KTN from 14.30 – 15.30.
