The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Cooperative are hosting the NIHR Roadshow for MedTech SMEs on 16th October at Cambridge Science Park.
If you are a MedTech company looking for funding, guidance, or collaborators then this event is relevant to you. At the event you can find out about NIHR’s offer to support research and innovation, and the funding available for MedTech innovators, as well as the available guidance across the innovation pathway. You can also learn about the generation of clinical and health economic evidence for NHS use.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to consult with specialists in 1-to-1 sessions or a round-table discussion. This will cover how to access funding, navigating the NHS and initiating clinical trials, as well as building a collaborations network with supporting organisations, key NHS stakeholders, and other like-minded innovators.
Confirmed speakers include Professor Tony Young (National Clinical Lead for Innovation, NHS England), Martin Hunt (Director for the NIHR Invention for Innovations programme), Clare Woods (Business Development Manager for the NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure), Professor Peter Hutchinson (Clinical Director, NIHR Global Neurotrauma Research Group), and KTN’s Knowledge Transfer Manager for Life Sciences, David Calder. The first session of the day will focus on ‘Healthcare Appetite for Innovation’, followed by ‘Innovation Ecosystem East’, and after that Q&A’s and table discussions will take place alongside networking opportunities.
