Posted on: 18/04/2017

A new Food Security Network aims to bring together food researchers to tackle 21st century challenges.

The Science and Technology Facility Council (STFC) is funding a Food Security Network (STFC Food Network+) to bring together food researchers with STFC researchers and facilities to tackle food security challenges.

STFC Food Network+ aims to:

  • Build an inclusive, dynamic, multidisciplinary network of researchers focused on innovative ways to use the skills and facilities funded by STFC
  • Kickstart multidisciplinary collaborations and research projects working towards sustainable food systems both in the UK and developing countries
  • Enhance the impact of STFC/food multidisciplinary collaborations by encouraging co-design with the non-academic sector.

STFC Food Network+ is currently conducting an awareness survey to find out how much you already know about STFC and food, and to gauge your interest in participating in the STFC Food Network+. This survey should take less than 5 minutes of your time and you will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw to win £100 of Amazon vouchers.

Click here to take the survey.

The deadline for responses is 3rd May 2017.
