They are looking to invite 40-50 experts with specialist knowledge across the following technology areas:
- Electronic components and systems
- Sensor and Sensor Systems
- Large Area Electronics
- Power electronics
and system-level capabilities:
- IoT systems
- High performance and energy efficient computing systems
- Communications systems
- Autonomous systems
The aim of the workshop will be to discuss, extend and validate an R&D and Innovation landscape of strategic UK capabilities enabled by ElecTech’s underpinning technologies to address application level challenges.
The landscape will be a core part of the exercise – led by Innovate UK and supported by BEIS – to develop the ElecTech Roadmap Report. The importance of this exercise and its resulting Roadmap Report is highlighted by the words of BEIS:
“BEIS welcomes the ElecTech Roadmap Report as an important launchpad to promote UK’s strategic capabilities, and to inform government investment plans for R&D and Innovation across electronics, sensor systems and photonics.”
“In the context of the UK’s Industrial Strategy, BEIS also sees this a key piece of work for the ElecTech Sector itself – to help develop ambitious plans to grow capabilities and encourage investment.”
