Profile overview

Ali is part of the KTN’s Emerging Technologies & Industries team and has 10 years of innovation and technology transfer experience. Previously, he was part of the Electronics, Sensors, and Photonics KTN, leading the Sensors & Instrumentation Knowledge Transfer group.

With a diverse array of technology experience, including distributed and high-end computing, mobile, wireless, advanced sensors & instrumentation, and software platforms, Ali has delivered projects in scientific research, healthcare, forensic science and the energy sector.

Ali holds a Masters in Medical Physics from Aberdeen, a Masters in Advanced Instrumentation Systems from UCL and a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics from Edinburgh. He has business experience, having founded and managed two technology consultancy companies to deliver innovation and technology projects.
