Mike is a Knowledge Transfer Manager with the KTN working within Knowledge Centre for Materials Chemistry (KCMC). After his PhD in surface chemistry, he had a wide and varied career in the chemical industry and in collaborative R&D. His role is to talk to companies, to understand their R&D programme, identify where there are research needs that cannot be met internally and to explore how we can meet those research needs through the skills, expertise and facilities at the University of Manchester. Having a deep scientific understanding and experience gained from 20 years in industry and 12 years in knowledge transfer, Mike works closely with the University of Manchester and has great relationships with people across research, innovation and IP within the University.
