Philippa is the Knowledge Transfer Adviser covering Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland
The KTP programme promotes business led, open innovation by connecting companies with academic expertise to enable them to grow their business. Philippa looks after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many parts of the country. She also maintains relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.
Philippa has been a KTP Adviser since 2005, supporting partnerships in the East Midlands by building successful relationships between technology-based businesses and the knowledge base. Having experience in manufacturing, design and delivery of in-company management training courses and developing public sector policies. Philippa is well placed to provide support and guidance on opportunities for innovation and knowledge transfer in all sectors. She is a Chartered Manufacturing Engineer with a keen interest in professional development activities and business development through people – the KTA role enables raising awareness of innovation opportunities and motivating people to network and learn from each other’s network.
Philippa is the KTA for the following institutions: Bishop Grosseteste University; British Geological Survey – Nottingham; University of Derby; University of Lincoln; Loughborough University; Nottingham Trent University; and The University of Nottingham.
