Profile overview

With strong links in the UK food and drink sector, particularly in Scotland and Northern Ireland, Serena has experience of working in academia and small and large companies. She helps to improve the profitability of UK food-based businesses by improving their uptake of innovation from the science base.

Serena previously contributed to food research and enterprise activity as a postdoctoral research associate at Northumbria University, and holds a PhD in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Glasgow.
